Sean Grasso is a cinematographer turned director/producer based in Corvallis, Oregon. In 2012, he began creating short film portraits of craftspeople, multiple of which were awarded a Vimeo Staff Pick. Over the last decade he’s worked as a documentary and commercial cinematographer around the world for numerous productions and Fortune 500 companies. In 2021, after a close encounter with California’s largest wildfire, he shifted towards directing — focusing on the stories of America’s wild spaces and adjacent rural communities affected by climate change. He is currently producing his first feature-length documentary, The Caldera, which follows the story of world’s largest lithium deposit.
