Sean Grasso is a cinematographer turned director/producer based in Oregon. In 2012, he began creating short film portraits of craftspeople, multiple of which were awarded a Vimeo Staff Pick. Over the last decade he’s worked as a documentary and commercial cinematographer around the world for numerous productions and Fortune 500 companies. In 2021, after a close encounter with California’s largest wildfire, he shifted his lens toward directing, focusing on the stories of America’s wild spaces and adjacent rural communities affected by climate change. He is currently producing his first feature-length documentary, The Caldera, which follows the story of world’s largest lithium deposit.
