Filmmaker & Cinematographer, Corvallis, OR

Sean Grasso is an award-winning documentary director and cinematographer based in Corvallis, Oregon. He makes character-driven films about people whose lives are tied to the land, and the slow, complicated ways those places change. He began his career making short film portraits of craftspeople, several of which earned Vimeo Staff Picks, and spent a decade shooting documentary and commercial work for clients including Freethink, Costco, Microsoft, and the American Cancer Society.

His short documentary The Butterfly Lab won the Artistic Vision Award at the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival and screened as an official selection at Mountainfilm in Telluride.

He is currently in post-production on The Caldera, his debut feature-length documentary. A co-production with ITVS, the film follows a rural Oregon community on the frontlines of one of the world's largest lithium deposit developments, and is set to broadcast on PBS's Independent Lens in early 2027.

Available for documentary, commercial and branded production across the Willamette Valley, Southern Oregon, Portland, and the Pacific Northwest.
